Stressed Out Mom Shows More Than Thanks to Teen Fast Food Employee

Brittany Reed was just your typical overworked and stressed-out mom pulling up to a Mcdonald's to feed her seven and 4-year-olds after a long day of soccer practice.

However, upon reaching the drive-thru window, Brittany realized she had forgotten her purse. Rather than send the stressed-out mom back home in a humiliating fashion, the teller, Wyatt, assured her the meal was on him.

Showing Gratitude With Unprecedented Generosity

After writing a Facebook post thanking the young man and his parents for raising such a kind person, Mrs. Reed noticed he was currently in the process of purchasing a vehicle.

In an unprecedented display of gratitude, the Ohio mom took it upon herself to start a GoFundMe page for the young McDonalds employee - raising more than $32,000 in the process.

Recent stories of GoFundMe have stirred a fair bit of controversy, leaving many to swear off the charitable tech company altogether. However, Brittany and Wyatt provide us with verifiable proof that there is still much good that can come from the charity tech giant.

Brittany Reed was more than grateful. It had already been a long day at soccer practice with her 4- and 7-year-old.

Later that night, purse in tow, Brittany drove back to the McDonald’s to give Wyatt his money back. But the Waynesville, Ohio local insisted the meal was on him.

Brittany wrote in a Facebook post, “I just want his parents to know how KIND & COMPASSIONATE your son was tonight! He made this stressed out momma pause for a moment and realize this is exactly what we parents are trying to do, raise great humans,” she explained. “Wyatt, do not let this world change your kind heart young man for its people like YOU that will change this world for the better!”
