Trusting God with Everything is Exercising "Godfidence"

Godfidence is knowing our Heavenly Father planned for generations, centuries, and even “ages” in advance to accomplish HIS purposes, HIS mission, and HIS will, and it's so beautiful. Godfidence is living your life realizing that He's got THE plan and everything IS NOT about us, and in fact, Godfident people understand everything is about advancing HIS Kingdom and HIS purpose, and it's so beautiful.

"for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ." 1 Corinthians 2:16

What is "Godfidence? Having Godfidence is being aligned with God's plan and purpose and living in His total peace and joy no matter what. Yes, no matter what!

"Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, To those who through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours: Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord." 2 Peter 1:1-2

Godfident people trust God, and they believe their success in any Christ-centered effort is a function of "obedience," and they are not driven by personal "results" or "outcome." Thus, people living in Godfidence follow the leading of the Holy Spirit regardless of the cost of being obedient to them personally.

"This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus." 1 John 4:17

Godfident people know there is a reward to being obedient. Being obedient is exercising absolute belief in the Word of God and obediently following the lead of the Holy Spirit. Having Godfidence is trusting God and placing all of one's effort and focus on serving Him and the needs of others, and receiving a personal reward is their last thought.

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21

Although a profitable outcome to our efforts is always rightly expected, Godfident people know that being obedient is the only thing that matters. Meaning, Godfident folks don't consider their own personal benefit or loss.

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Ephesians 2:8-10

Godfident people trust God and they believe their success in any Christ-centered effort is a function of Godfident people know that their obedience will produce positive results in their lives, but the "positive results" are not why they are obedient. They are obedient because they place absolute trust in God, period.

"since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." Colossians 3:24

Sometimes the things we do in obedience will not have an immediate or obvious "pay-off" and may even have a negative impact, albeit short-term. The point is, in obedience we do it anyway because it's the right thing to do, and it's not about us.

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" 2 Corinthians 5:17

Still, Godfident people are like everyone else, they have an internal expectation (deep down), and they expect God to reward their obedience. But they are not obedient because of the reward, and they are obedient to God's prompting regardless of what it means to them personally.

"and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”; and, “You reward everyone according to what they have done.” Psalms 62:12

Godfident people, a result of their trust in Him and their obedience to His prompting give without expecting a return. In other words, Godfident people "give to give," and they are not looking for a reward, and if they were to receive a reward, they would give that away too.

"If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward." 1 Corinthians 3:14

The decisions made from Godfidence are decisions made from a place of rest, rest in our Heavenly Father’s love. When "at rest," there is no stress to our souls. Godfident folks trust God's ability and His faithfulness to fulfill ANY assignment He has given us.

"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." 2 Corinthians 5:18-19

For those who place their confidence in God alone, there will be times when our obedience to our Father’s voice will require extraordinary faith. At that time, the Godfident folks do not waver, and they trust that God has already done it for them, and they "rest" in His finished work. During this time, we learn that faith IN HIM will always trump man's reason and logic - if we remain Godfient during a crisis and tough trials, that is!

Whenever we hear the Father’s directive, we know we are able (Godfident) to fulfill it. We have the Godfidence to employ the best decision-making efforts (wisdom) as the Holy Spirit leads (Godfidence). But make no mistake, in Godfidence, we will have a bias toward taking risks in Him and being bold in His faithfulness because He has called us to be bold - GODFIDENT.

"We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:20

We are Godfident that the assignments we’ve been given by our Heavenly Father are His to fulfill and complete, and HE WILL DO IT. We are His stewards of His faith. We take our stewardship responsibility seriously enough to be Godfident that He will fulfill our purpose through His grace. Yes, we ask God for solutions to our problems all the time, and we know He provides. In Godifence, we are absolutely certain that He will manifest the solution.Godfident People Are Kingdom People, and it’s a Family Business Godfident people are imitators of God and Jesus, and they are always at work in the Kingdom business, which is the family business. They are co-laboring with the Father and the Son to accomplish His purpose and plan, which are always Kingdom-related. It is our privilege to function as conduits through which His grace and His mercy, His way, which isn't always our way.

Those who are Godfident and have Godfidence know that " The Family " is at the top of God's organizational chart for the Kingdom of God is "The Family."

To God, "The Family" is everything. It's big in the big scheme of things, and Family is always outward, meaning it’s never about "self" and it's always about "others first." The Kingdom of God is about "others" and not the self at all.

"And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus." 1 John 4:16-17

To those who are Godfident, always place the Family is First. Those who are Godfident have healthy marriages because their Godfidence is in God, and it is God who grants them protection from the adversary. Those who are Godfident know and trust the Father’s favor is upon them because they place family above self.
